Dina Magaril Dina Magaril was born in St. Petersburg, Russia and immigrated to New York when she was four. She grew up in Washington Heights and attended Middlebury College, where she majored in English and Spanish. While living in the Green State, she developed a passion for farmer’s markets, artisanal cheeses, and local agriculture. She studied in Buenos Aires, where she fell in love with grass-fed beef, Malbecs, and the ‘vos’ form. She has yet to make the perfect empanada. Dina has taught Spanish to elementary school students and English to Mexican Dairy farmers in Vermont.
