(no TVs) to Council Member Gale Brewer's day of E-Recycling with Per Scholas, a nonprofit organization dedicated to community empowerment through technology and education. A $5 donation (or whatever you wish) is requested to Per Scholas to fund their recycling and training programs.
Electronics Recycling Days from the Lower East Side Ecology Center
The Ecology Center is holding 7 electronic waste ("e-waste") collections to responsibly recycle unwanted or broken electronics from New York City residents (no business waste). All you have to do is bring your e-waste to the collection event. No home appliances such as microwaves or
refrigerators. A list of acceptable materials can be found here.

This spring backyard composting workshop will help you put all those dead plant scraps from last year to good use. Workshop will cover the science behind composting and how to set up and maintain a compost bin in your backyard or community garden. Different bin setup options will be illustrated including a two bin system, compost tumbler, and metal can bin. Discounted backyard compost bins will be available for purchase. Registration is required. Workshop fee $5 per person, cash only. Conducted by the Lower East Side Ecology Center.
