Greene Acres, spelled with an ‘e’ at the end of ‘Green’, marks the street name in which the New York Restoration Project (NYRP) garden is located. This 1000 gallon tank collects from a 1625 square foot roof of an adjacent house. The overflow water is channeled to a pond in the garden. Hector (left) and Steven (right), two gardeners at Greene Acres, are seen here standing on the rain barrel’s strong platform.
