Bridge Plaza

The rain water harvesting system at Bridge Plaza created by the New York Restoration Project is truly unique. No pipes or tanks are involved. Water runs off of the winged structure and falls into a 5 foot wide and 20 foot long pool. The “pond” is complete with water based plants, lily pads and gold fish. During the winter, the fish migrate to the bottom of the 3 foot deep pool to survive. With a small 120 square foot roof and a 2244 gallon pool to catch the rain, overflow is never a problem.
