The market is located inside the Bronx Botanical Garden near Tulip Tree Allee at the Mosholu Gate entrance. Admission to NYBG is free Wednesdays, so visitors, employees, and community residents have access to the beautiful grounds while they shop for farm-fresh produce.  EBT/Food Stamps and WIC & Senior FMNP coupons are accepted. On hand are a bounty of seasonal vegetables, including heirloom tomatoes, corn, squash, eggplant, and specialty Mexican produce; just picked fruits and berries; a wide selection of fragrant herbs and assorted greens; meat; sweet cider, honey, and homemade old-fashioned donuts, pies, breads and more. Manager

Oscar Perpinan was born right here on Manhattan Island, in the lovely neighborhood of Yorkville (Upper East Side). He comes from a Dominican household; both of his parents were born in sunny Santiago, DR. He spent most of his earlier years attending school in Washington Heights, but studied abroad for one year in his parent's hometown. Oscar has always been involved and has been interested and active in my community, especially when it comes art, specifically music. He’s played drums for 4 years, and guitar for 1. His home markets are the 175th St. Market (which he’s attended since he could walk) and currently the Inwood Market. His number one reason to shop at market: cherry/strawberry season, and yogurt that is to die for!
