Zero Waste Volunteers are needed to assist with Recycling at the Rock the Harbor Music Festival on Saturday, June 14, 2008 at Snug Harbor Cultural Center at 1000 Richmond Blvd in Staten Island, New York. The gates open at 11am and the music festival ends at 9pm.

A team of 36 dedicated volunteers are sought to make the Rock the Harbor Music Festival New York City’s most environmentally sustainable rock concert of 2008. Volunteers will tend the concert’s four zero waste stations for three short hours in groups of three, and enjoy the concert for the remainder of the day at their leisure.

Committed volunteers will make recycling easy by explaining the recycling system and reminding concertgoers in a friendly way to assure that everyone has a great time recycling at Rock the Harbor, and returns home feeling empowered to recycle.
