April 19th on Ninth Street in front of the Park Slope YMCA, 357 Ninth Street Brooklyn (between 5th and 6th Avenues from 10am - 2pm)
The Park Slope Civic Council, Per Scholas, and Council on the Environment of New York City bring Electronics Recycling Day to Brooklyn.
Thanks to their generous grant, this electronics recycling day will be part of the Park Slope Civic Council’s Spring Civic Sweep.
Working and non working Electronics will be collected by Per Scholas which reuses as many computers and monitors as possible in its Training, Access, and Comp2Kids program, and recycles electronics that cannot be reused in an environmentally responsible manner.
Electronic waste represents as little as 1% of the city’s waste by volume, yet contributes 70% of the toxicity to landfills and incinerators.
