CENYC Receives $10,000 Grant from Waste Management Charitable Foundation

On Monday, July 30th at 11:00AM, the Council on the Environment of New York City (CENYC) will be receiving a grant of $10,000 from Waste Management Charitable Foundation. The event will take place in the northeast corner of Union Square Park in Manhattan, where CENYC operates a Greenmarket farmers market and its Office of Recycling Outreach and Education sponsors Material Mondays, a clothing recycling drive with Goodwill Industries designed to divert these items from the city's waste stream. The press is invited to attend.

Greenmarket Opens Three New Markets Next Week

Next week Greenmarket will open three new farmers markets. Each will run weekly through November.

Sunnyside, Queens
Skillman between 42nd & 43rd Sts
Opens Saturday, July 7th.

Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn

Opens Sunday, July 8th.
