On Thursday, September 24, thousands of New Yorkers descended on Brooklyn Borough Hall for the annual Green Brooklyn...Green City fair and symposium. Alongside our Greenmarket farmers' market, 40 exhibitors offered information and resources on everything from dual-flush toilets to textile recycling to keeping New York waterways clean. It was free and open to the public and we had thousands of attendees.

As summer 2010 approaches, contact Amanda Gentile at agentile@GrowNYC.org for information. Here's what exhibitors had to say about this year's event:
"I wanted to let you know that I thought the Green Brooklyn event was very much worth our while. I had terrific traffic and I will be doing lots of follow up. I cannot remember a significant stretch of time during the entire afternoon when there weren't people talking w/me or reading our materials, or signing up to get posters."
- Teresa Ippolito, US Environmental Protection Agency
"Thank you for a great event yesterday! We sold a lot of shoes and the retailer that we teamed up with (Half Pint Citizens) was very happy."
- Chad Valchar, Simple Shoes
"We had a great day... my feet still hurt and my voice is still hoarse!"
- Andrew Deluca, Magic Pest Exterminating
