Market Info

Located on 1st Avenue in the Upper East Side and going into its 3rd year, this market bridges the economically diverse communities located in this part of upper Manhattan. The market has a great selection of vegetables, fruits, baked goods and eggs. This year, we are excited to be adding farmstead goat cheeses from Ardith Mae Farms and fresh fish from American Seafood.

If you need to find Meredith Ledlie in the market, just listen for a very loud laugh. After growing up on Long Island and never thinking about farms or food, Meredith was exposed to these issues through her study of Chicano rights posters from the 70's. A fan of all things delicious, Meredith defected from the art world to enjoy her time building community and supporting the local food movement. Cheese and fresh apples hold a very special place in her heart.
